Tim & Sandra love each other in a very special way that is hard to describe. After dealing with loss on a very personal level, Tim proposed to Sandra in their home cuddled up in their pyjamas in bed; wanting it to be a simple affair with only the woman he loved most to cherish that moment with. This speaks volumes to the way that they treat each other; when the value of life and love is realized in such a deep and meaningful way that you no longer take each and every blessing in your life for granted. We’re hardly doing it justice, but this is just part of the reason Tim and Sandra’s relationship is so raw and special, and we’re honoured to have been invited into that in a small way to document it on camera. We spent their engagement session at Gage Park; just down the street from where they live in an area that has so much meaning to them. We had their ‘girls’ Zoey and Marley for the first part of the session who are their dogs who are, really, much more than just pets to these two. Tim & Sandra let us know that they wanted us to experiment a little and really push our creative boundaries with their portraits. They wanted unique, interesting, one-of-a-kind photographs, and we were up to the challenge of bringing that to life! Using various photographic techniques–most notably double exposures–we were able to include a bunch of really unconventional and special portraits. Overall, it was a fantastic evening with these two and we are so blessed to just know them. We are so excited to photograph their wedding this Fall; we honestly can’t wait. Congratulations again Tim & Sandra! We are so happy for the two of you. Thanks for choosing the two of us to capture your love!
